AI avatars in vending: N-and Group technology featured by Il Sole 24 Ore, Italy’s leading financial newspaper

Vending is not changing simply because it is becoming more digital. It changes when interaction becomes more human.

Thank you to Il Sole 24 Ore, Italy’s leading financial newspaper, for covering the evolution of the vending sector and highlighting N-and Group’s technology presented at Venditalia: conversational AI avatars applied to vending machines.

Our technology was created with a clear goal: to transform the purchase moment into a more natural, accessible and engaging experience. Users no longer simply choose from a screen: they can interact, receive support and be guided through the selection process in a simple and immediate way, through a fully touchless experience.

Thanks to the AI avatar and AI camera, the machine reads the context in real time — time of day, usage situation and consumption patterns of the location — adapting language, suggestions and offering to the user experience.

No login.
No data entry.
No need to touch the screen.

From their own smartphone, users receive a suggestion, browse the available products and complete the purchase via Apple Pay or Google Pay.

At Venditalia, we showcased this technology applied to a hot beverage vending machine and integrated with a smart locker: a concrete example of how vending can evolve into a connected digital hub, capable of offering products, services and new experiences.

For us, AI in vending is not just automation.
It is a new way to build a relationship between machine, product and person.

The future of vending will be conversational, contextual and connected.
And we are working to make it a realit.
